Break-even

Before you make €1 of profit, the price needs to move enough to cover fees and spread. This tool computes that break-even point for you.

Why this tool matters

A "winning" trade of 0.3% on a €5,000 position at DEGIRO (€2 + €1 NL handling) is likely a loss once you include round-trip fees. Many day traders ignore this because the fee amounts look small — until they add up a month of 30 trades.

Round-trip = entry + exit cost. Count spread as half its value per side, since you buy at ask and sell at bid. On wider spreads (illiquid stocks, exotic FX pairs) spread alone can require a break-even move of several percent.
