Who we are
Daytraders.nl is operated by DMA Europe B.V., registered at Oude Enghweg 2, 1217 JC Hilversum, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 32054576, VAT NL802381455B01. DMA Europe B.V. is the data controller for personal data processed on Daytraders.nl.
For privacy questions, access requests, corrections or deletion: DMA Europe B.V., Oude Enghweg 2, 1217 JC Hilversum, Netherlands. Written requests to that address are handled within 30 days.
What data we process
Daytraders.nl is a static content site with no login, account or newsletter. We collect only:
- Anonymous visit statistics via Umami Cloud: page path, country code, browser type and referrer. No persistent IDs, no raw IP storage, no cookies. Not traceable to an individual.
- Server logs from the hosting provider (Cloud Run, possibly Cloudflare Pages in future) for 14 days for security and debugging purposes. IP addresses in those logs are automatically anonymised after 24 hours.
What we do not collect: name, address, phone number, payment details, date of birth, trading activity, portfolio information, IP addresses linked to profiles, or browser fingerprints.
Legal basis & purpose
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest: anonymous visit statistics via Umami. Interest: improving content quality (which pages are read, which are not). Impact on you: none — data is anonymous.
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — security: server logs for intrusion detection and fault diagnosis. Retention limited to 14 days.
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract: emails you send, in order to answer your query.

- Server logs: 14 days
- Git commit history of the site content: permanent (public archive)
Sub-processors
The following parties may have technical access to data in their systems as part of services provided to DMA Europe B.V.:
- Umami Software Inc. (umami.is) — anonymous website analytics. No personal data, but mentioned for transparency.
- Google Cloud (Cloud Run, europe-west4 region) — site hosting. Server logs contain anonymised IPs.
- Cloudflare — DNS and possibly CDN. No access to personal data; network level only.
- GitHub — code repository and CI/CD. No visitor data.
Affiliate partners (Finst, Easybroker, TradingView, bunq, Amazon Associates, various prop firms) only receive data when you click an affiliate link — at that point you land on their site and their privacy terms apply, not ours.
Processing outside the EU
Umami Cloud runs on infrastructure that may be partly outside the EU (Vercel edge). For this service we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission. Cloud Run hosting is located in europe-west4 (Netherlands/EU).
Amazon Associates and Cloudflare have international data flows governed by SCC frameworks. See their own documentation for details.
Your rights under the GDPR
You have the following rights:
- Access — ask what data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — request a temporary halt of processing
- Objection — to processing based on legitimate interest
- Data portability — receive data in a machine-readable format
In practice: because we process very little data about you (and only anonymously), most requests will be limited to written correspondence. Send a letter to the postal address above. We respond within 30 days.
Right to complain
If you believe we are not processing your personal data correctly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. This is your statutory right under GDPR Art. 13(2)(d).
Security
The site is hosted with automatic TLS (SSL certificates auto-renewed). We use security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options) to limit cross-site attacks. There is no database of personal data to protect — that is our primary security measure.
Minors
The content on Daytraders.nl is educational and not specifically aimed at minors. Investing and day trading typically require adult age (18+) for brokerage accounts. We do not knowingly process data of visitors we know to be under 16 years of age.
