About Daytraders.nl

What exactly is Daytraders.nl?
An independent Dutch-language content platform that publishes documented, publicly verifiable information on brokers, prop firms, tutorials, strategies and trader profiles. Published by DMA Europe B.V. No course, no signals group, no subscription.
Who writes the content?
The editorial team is solopreneur-driven (Sander van Essen, DMA Europe B.V.) with AI assistance for research and translations. Every factual claim is checked against a public source before we publish — the AFM register, broker terms of service, documented trader biography. See our broker methodology for details.
Is Daytraders.nl supervised by the AFM?
Daytraders.nl itself is an educational content platform — not an investment service — and is not under AFM supervision as such. The publisher, DMA Europe B.V., IS AFM-registered as an investment firm (Wft licence), but those regulated services are delivered via our separate brands Easybroker (self-directed retail brokerage) and Noble & Partners (premium investment advisory), not via Daytraders.nl. On this site we do not provide personal investment advice. For personal advice or regulated services, consult one of those brands or another Wft-regulated independent adviser.
Where does the name Daytraders come from?
The site started with a focus on day traders — active traders with short timeframes. We now also cover longer-term investing (ETF, DCA, Buffett-style), but the name stayed because it is recognisable to the audience.

Money & business model

How do you make money?
Through affiliate fees from partners: brokers (including Finst, Easybroker, TradingView, bunq), prop firms, and Amazon Associates for trading books. When you open an account or buy a book via our link, we receive a small fee — at no extra cost to you. See /affiliate-disclosure.
Does that affect your reviews?
No. We explicitly mention disadvantages of affiliate partners and compare fairly with competitors where they are better. If you check our source and it checks out, that is the strongest counter-argument. We have publicly documented 3 fact-check rounds with 36 corrections — including on partners.
Is a broker ranked higher if it is an affiliate partner?
No, not by default. Default filters and rankings do not favour affiliate partners. Affiliate status is disclosed, but is separate from position in listings. This is explicit policy under our design brief § dark-patterns.
Do I get a discount if I use your link?
No. The affiliate link does not affect the price you pay; it is purely a tracking link so the broker/Amazon knows we referred you. You may sometimes receive broker bonuses via our links (e.g. a welcome offer), depending on the partner.

About the content itself

Why are there no CFDs or spread bets here?
Deliberately out of scope. Retail CFD products have high loss rates (often 70–85%) and do not fit our editorial ethos. This also means we cannot seriously cover leverage-related content without simultaneously promoting products we refuse to endorse.
Can I use your content for my own blog?
Reasonable excerpts with attribution and a back-link are fine. Full reproduction requires written permission. AI engines may use our .md endpoints and llms.txt for citations with attribution — that is explicitly the intention.
Why is this broker not reviewed?
Three reasons: (1) content scope — we do not review CFD/spread-bet/FX-margin brokers; (2) capacity — there are thousands of brokers and we focus on NL/EU spot brokers and prop firms; (3) region — brokers not passively accessible to NL visitors receive lower priority.
How often is the content updated?
Broker data and fees are checked each review round; a "Last checked" stamp appears on every detail page. Tutorials are evergreen. Strategies are checked against sources annually. No real-time figures (intentional — see autonomy policy).

Privacy & your data

Do you collect my personal data?
No. There is no login, no account, no newsletter. Visit statistics via Umami are anonymous and cookie-free. See /privacy and /cookies for the full explanation.
Why is there no cookie banner?
Because we do not place non-functional cookies. Under ePrivacy (Art. 11.7a Dutch Telecommunications Act) a banner is only required for tracking/advertising cookies — which we do not have.
Where can I file a complaint about privacy?
With the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl — that is your statutory right under GDPR Art. 13(2)(d).

UK / US visitors

I am a UK resident — can I read this content?
Yes, the site is passively accessible. However, the content is not directed at UK retail clients and is not a financial promotion under FSMA s.21. Consult FCA-regulated providers for UK-specific services.
I am a US resident — can I open an account via your link?
We advise US residents to consult SEC/FINRA-registered providers. Many of the EU brokers we review do not accept US clients due to regulation. Always check the broker's own site to see whether you are eligible.
