Affiliate disclosure

Daytraders.nl contains affiliate links. This is how we earn part of our income — here is the honest explanation of how it works, which partners we have and why it does not affect our reviews.

Updated 20-04-2026

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that a partner (a broker, prop firm or Amazon) uses to record that you arrived at their site via us. If you then open an account, purchase an evaluation or buy a product, Daytraders.nl receives a small fee — at no extra cost to you.

This is how we fund the work: you pay nothing on Daytraders.nl, there is no paywall, no subscription and no paid courses. Our income comes from these affiliate relationships.

How do you recognise them?

Affiliate links on Daytraders.nl are marked in three ways:

  • Technical: every link element carries rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" — in line with Google's guidelines and the Dutch Social Media Advertising Code (RSM 2023).
  • Visual: next to every affiliate CTA there is an explicit notice: "Affiliate link — we may receive a fee".
  • Sitewide: the legal bar in the footer on every page mentions our affiliate relationships.

Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. References to the AFM, broker documentation, Wikipedia or trader biographies are plain external links without affiliate tracking.

Our partners

At the time of writing, these are our official affiliate partners:

  • Finst — Dutch broker for shares/ETFs. Affiliate via third-party tracker.
  • Easybroker — Dutch broker. Affiliate via third-party tracker.
  • TradingView — charting platform. Affiliate partner.
  • bunq — Dutch neo-bank. Affiliate partner.
  • Amazon Associates — EU + US via OneLink. Partner tag: dmastore0b-20.
  • Various prop firms — affiliate where explicitly indicated on detail pages.

When we lose or add a partner, this list is updated. Historical data (who became an affiliate and when) can be found in the git commit history of the site.

Does this affect our reviews?

No. Concretely:

  • We mention disadvantages of affiliate partners just as clearly as advantages — see for example our Finst or Easybroker review.
  • We compare with competitors where they are better. If DEGIRO is cheaper for certain use cases than an affiliate partner, that is stated explicitly in the review.
  • Default filters in broker and prop-firm listings do not favour affiliate partners. Rankings follow factors relevant to the visitor (regulation, fees, use-case fit), not commission percentage.
  • We have run 3 public fact-check rounds with 36 corrections — including on affiliate partners, where hard facts had to be adjusted.

If you check our source links and they hold up, that is the strongest argument against "that review is surely paid". Source verification is included with every claim.

Dutch rules (RSM 2023)

The Dutch Social Media & Influencer Marketing Advertising Code 2023 (RSM 2023) states that affiliate links are equivalent to advertising. Requirement: disclosure at the level of the individual link, not only in a general footer. We comply with this through the per-link disclosure text and the technical rel="sponsored" attribute.

In addition, we publish conflicts of interest per broker review under "Our affiliate relationship with this broker", in line with EU Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) transparency principles for recommendations.

Amazon Associates

For books and trading gear we participate in the Amazon Associates programme with partner tag dmastore0b-20 via OneLink, so you are automatically routed to your regional Amazon store (Amazon.nl, .de, .com, .co.uk etc.) — depending on your location.

Specific Amazon disclosure: "Daytraders.nl is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme; we may receive a fee for qualifying purchases made via these links. The affiliate relationship does not affect the price you pay."
